Hyderabad: One more case was registered by the Golconda police towards controversial NGO, Hyderabad Youth Courage, for allegedly cheating a household after collecting public donations on the pretext of serving to them.
In her complaint to the police, a lady Farheen Sultana, spouse of Akbar Hussain, alleged she had approached Hyderabad Youth Courage searching for assist in arranging money for treatment of Hussain, who had met with an accident in February and was underneath treatment since then.
“In May, the NGO collected donations from the general public for the treatment of Akbar Hussain. In several cases, the group withdrew Rs.3 lakh and Rs. 6.30 lakh from the account without informing her. Nevertheless, they handed over Rs. 5 lakh to them and swindled the remaining quantity,” stated J Mahender Reddy, Sub-Inspector, Golconda.
Primarily based on the complaint, the police booked a case underneath Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating.
